The Arts Society Hallamshire members enjoy high quality monthly lectures, study days and private visits to galleries and historic houses. All our events bring together friendly, like minded people and deepen our enjoyment of classical and modern works of art over a broad field.

The lecture programme is central to our activities, with nine monthly lectures each year. These are held on the third Wednesday of each month, save for July, August and December. Our venue is Tapton Masonic Hall, Shore Lane, Sheffield.

In addition to the lectures we organise occasional Study Days, which allow for an in depth examination of a subject led by an expert brought in for the day.

Always popular are day trips to interesting places in various parts of the UK, visiting museums and historic buildings, often not normally open to the general public.

Each year, we produce and circulate a Newsletter which is in the form of an annual report. From these, you can readily see the scope and scale of our activities. The most recent report is available here .
